All Quiet on the Chicken Front

     Well, almost quiet.  There was the middle-of-the-night episode where Brandis heroically bludgeoned an enormous rat to death.  Her dog was creating a fuss and she had a vibe that there was an issue.  There was definitely evidence that the evil beast was inside the coop (aack!).  However, there was no lasting harm.
     It goes without saying that the coop has been effectively sealed against all except a plague of locusts now.  Gulp.
     Our days are now spent feeding the girls yummy snacks.

     And they are spent WAITING for the party girls to go to bed!  They definitely do not see the need to get into the coop before it is well into dusk.  

I call this delay tactic # 5

      I am hoping to get a new recipe up here on the blog soon.  Well, actually, it will hopefully be GUEST WRITER.....Let this be an inspiration to all of my friends who have some tasty treat to share.  I am happy to share the road, er, blog.
